Acrylic Lid

One Scoop, Two Scoops Or No Scoops

Have you ever been in a candy store? Most people have. If it was recently, you probably noticed that the containers have changed from those they used in the past. The containers are clear and are of many different sizes and shapes. The candy inside is probably filled to the brim. The typical type of container you probably think of most is the one with the scoop for scooping out your own candy in any denomination you choose. Some may believe this method to be unsanitary or just may prefer to try a different method of picking out your own candy. For these people, there are some options available.

There are candy walls that dispense your candy into a storage form of your choice, whether it is a plastic container, a paper or plastic bag or even a box. These walls feature top and bottom “gravity bins”. The term “gravity bin” refers to the fact that the bin is made to take advantage of gravity, with the candy designed to fall down when you open the chute. There are also acrylic containers that resemble coffee dispensers. These work much in the same way as the gravity bins, but they are more for the counter or shelf top instead of made in bulk to display on a wall. The pouring spout can make this container very convenient for those wanting a specific amount of candy instead of certain pieces. For smaller candies, the funnel front bin is an option. Children seem to like this one. It is kind of like a game. It features a rake (it touches the candy not you) that will bring the candy to the funnel. Then you lift the funnel door and let your candy pour into the container of your choice. For those with little room, there are also candy drawers. Fill the drawers with candy and the customer takes what they would like. With this method, you would need some type of dispensing tool. Therefore, this may not work for those looking not to use the traditional scoop or tongs.

With the many options to choose from, it seemingly would be difficult to make a final decision. First you would need to know the type of candy you will be storing. That will guide your decision for the most part. Whichever option you ultimately choose, you can be certain that your candy will be kept fresh and visible for your customers purchasing pleasure.
