Why am i extremly sensative to the sensation of metal, for example sounds and taste?

When I put cutlery back together in the drawer, the sound is an absolute nightmare, I feel it down to the roots of my teeth and ears. Its the same with tin foils. I can also taste metal on some spoons and forks and that can be unbearable too, i get an uncomfortable shiver from it. End up eating with plastic spoon!
I am slightly allergic to nickel, can’t wear cheap jewelry but i don’t have massive outburst like most do. I doubt it has anything to do with it.

I’m not sure what the answer to this is, but I know I am feeling the exact same thing. I love to cook, and lately, its almost impossible for me to be in the kitchen. I hate anything metal rubbing against anything, even my earings against eachother. It’s even becomin hard to watch certain movies. It’s hard to even talk about because it makes me cringe. A friend told me that stress hightens senses. I believe this to be true. I think it is stress related.
